The Los Angeles City Council has decided that a temporary moratorium on new fast food restaurants opening in certain neighborhoods will become permanent as part of a public health initiative. Also, the New York Times piece says that the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (without mentioning that they're a vegan propagandist group) would like to see similar moves in other cities.
