Video: The Gluttony That Is Man v Food

New, 14 comments

After Alton Brown called the TV show Man v Food gluttonous, "wasteful," and "disgusting," we figured we'd watch an episode and post some video for all to see.

In last night's episode, host Adam Richman goes to Parker's Hot Dogs in Roseville, CA and takes the Knucklehead Challenge — apparently, 100 people have attempted it, and only one person has ever completed it. The challenge: in twenty minutes one must eat a five-pound chili dog composed of a 16-inch bun stuffed with five ten-inch quarter-pound dogs drowned in three pounds of chili and jalapeno nacho cheese sauce; and tomatoes, pickles, onions, and tortilla strips as garnish. With one pound of french fries.

Is this gluttonous? Or just a guy doing his best to beat an insane food challenge?
