Brilliantly introduced by the The Roots performing the original Super Mario Bros. "Underworld" song (it's worth watching just for that), chef and restaurateur Mario Batali dropped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to cook some Spaghetti Carbonara.

Batali had many things to promote: his newly-opened epic Italian food temple Eataly ("It's not that fast yet, but we're gonna get faster") and his new magazine Viaggio ("It's our response to the whole world of electronic media and short attention spans"). During the cooking segment, after host Jimmy Fallon cut his finger on a microplane, Batali said, "Dude, didn't we do this on some viral web thing once?"
