Grant Achatz' Superchilled Cocktails for Aviary Might Remind You of TGI Friday's

In the video below, Grant Achatz, Dave Beran, and Craig Schoettler, the creative team behind the upcoming bar, Aviary, test a superchilled liquid technique that gives drinks a frozen, slushie-like texture and would not dilute the drink as the "ice" melts. When it's suggested that perhaps that would emulate cheesy, "Friday's"-style cocktails, Achatz says: "So what? We make it with perfectly ripe strawberries, and you know, we make it perfect, who cares? In fact, it's kind of funny."
