In this video interview with Slashfood Martha Stewart spoke about her influence: "Well, I wrote a pies and tarts book in 1985, and my pâte brisée, I see it in every cookbook. And I see all my tarts in all the cookbooks." She is of course referring to her cookbook Martha Stewart's Pies & Tarts (Amazon) that's destined for a new edition in 2011.
Stewart also announced a new television show called Martha Bakes, a thirteen-episode series that she described as "not really baking 101, it's a little more advanced than that... It'll inspire the home baker to try a lot of new things." Meaning things like pâte brisée, pâte feuilletée, puff pastry, and whole bunch of other things you probably don't have time for.
