Art Smith's Over-the-Top Wedding Had 14 Executive Chefs

New, 5 comments

Saturday marked "probably the most visible gay wedding of the year": the nuptials of artist Jesus Salgueiro and former-chef to Oprah Winfrey, Art Smith. "While I may set the table, be it known that you are the banquet and the feast," Smith said during his vows.

And as promised, it sounds like it was completely over-the-top, with multiple meals by 14 different chefs including Myron Mixon, Lee Anne Wong and Michelle Bernstein, as well as a cake by Ace of Cakes' Duff Goldman. Also Keste Pizzeria of New York City and Georgetown Cupcakes from DC.

There's not much information available on celebrity attendance yet (Smith had hoped for Oprah and President Obama), but we do know that Moby DJ'ed for awhile. Congratulations to the happy couple.
