While on a trip to the Gulf Coast to promote tourism, the Obamas stopped at Bruster's Real Ice Cream in Panama Beach City for a frozen treat. The President ordered a cup of mint chocolate chip, the First Lady got a hot fudge sundae with extra fudge and no whipped cream, and Sasha got a cup of cake batter Oreo ice cream. Poor Malia was at camp and didn't get any ice cream.
The Presidential visit happened on owners Larry and Joan Epperly's 34th wedding anniversary; they had been told the Obamas might be stopping by but did not know for sure until the motorcade was a block away.
