Did you watch MasterChef last night? The comparisons to American Idol were pretty spot-on, with the first episode closely mimicking the audition episodes: Heartwarming tearful segments! Judges made happy by good performances! And judges tortured by the grossly inept. Instead of bad singing, however, it was just bad food.
Here's a quick video clip of Farmer Randy and his loaded potato casserole, also known as his mother's "Funeral Potatoes," an oozing greasy dish made with butter, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Presented on a pig plate. While Joe Bastianich's scowling was priceless, Graham Elliot Bowles went for the funny-but-true: "I weep for the future. I'm crying on the inside."
