New Sitcom Mike and Molly Features Obese Adults, Fat Jokes

In America, everyone deserves a sitcom to reflect their particular lifestyle, and now fatties have a cheesy, bland romantic comedy to call their own. Mike and Molly, the story of two overweight adults who meet at Overeaters Anonymous (no, really) and, according to the press release, "thanks to their mutual love of pie and the desire to resist it" fall in love, and discover that "finding each other may have been worth the 'weight.'" It premieres this fall on CBS. Is this progress? The acceptance of different body types combined with a pro-health message? Or sad acquiescence to modern life? Mostly, it's jokes about chocolate cake. Preview video below.
