Kellogg's has informed The Environmental Working Group that a chemical in their box liners called methylnaphthalene was breaking down and caused them to recall 28 million boxes of cereal last month. The chemical is made from coal tar and crude oil, and sounds like something you would definitely want to pour over your cereal when you're out of milk. [EWG via SFGate, -E-]
