A study has discovered that the reusable grocery bag you're so proud of is also disgusting. 97% of people who use the bags don't wash them, three-fourths cross contaminate meats and vegetables, and a third use them for non-food purposes, like lugging books around (EW books). The result? Half the bags tested had coliform bacteria and 12% had E. coli. Good job, hippies. [LAT]
