Top Chef Canada Now Casting

Casting has begun for the Canadian edition of Top Chef, and don't think you can be crafty and sneak across the border because the US edition didn't pick you: contestants have to be a "Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada."

The 19-page application (pdf) is something to behold, for it includes this ominous statement: "I also recognize that proof of damages suffered by Producer and the Network in the event that I breach any provision of this certification will be costly, difficult and/or inconvenient." And/or! Also, you'll have to pay them "One Million Canadian Dollars (CDN$1,000,000) per breach." So no breaching, okay?

Side note: We like our version of the Top Chef Canada logo better. Deadline is June 14th.
