New federal dietary recommendations have been released, and man, are they a bummer. There's all kinds of tasty stuff you're not supposed to eat anymore! The feds suggest you cut down on sugary beverages and foods that contain high quantities of sodium, but, most importantly, the recommended level of saturated fat intake has been lowered. This means less foods like bacon, sausage, ribs of both the moo and oink varieties, cheese, and ice cream. What is the world coming to? [NYT]
