Foie Gras Protesters Target Thomas Keller's Restaurant Empire

Acclaimed chef Thomas Keller is being targeted by vegan animal rights groups for serving foie gras: A "coalition" of "animal protection groups" including The Animal Protection & Rescue League plans to protest Saturday outside of Per Se in New York, Bouchon in Los Angeles, and The French Laundry in Yountville, CA with the usual hulaballoo and sensational signage (see right). Perhaps Keller will follow the lead of other New York City chefs — including David Chang, the owners of Compass, and Bill Telepan — by adding new foie gras dishes to his menu in defiance?
