Comedy Central announced today that it's developing a series based on Waiting..., the 2005 independent film/comedy about the service industry.
From the press release: "Waiting... follows the young and not so young employees at Shenaniganz restaurant as they gossip, make fun of customers, and avert boredom and adulthood with their antics." TV might get its first sitcom about young, sexually promiscuous, borderline alcoholic waiters! (Other than Party Down, but that's cater-waiters.) Here's the trailer to the original film:
