Liza Palmer's The Last Supper Club Headed for TV

Liza Palmer, the internationally-bestselling author of the chick-lit novel Conversations with the Fat Girl recently sold The Last Supper Club to William Morrow, a HarperCollins imprint. Per Publishers Marketplace we learn it's about "an aspiring chef who, after a disastrous attempt to make it in NY, drags herself back to Texas taking a job preparing last meals for condemned prisoners." It will simultaneously be developed as a television series. Something like Nurse Jackie meets Oz, but with a chef preparing last meals? Sounds morbid!
