The $125,000 Prototype Food Truck From Mobi Munch

Photos: Chicago Tribune

The Chicago Tribune was at the National Restaurant Association show in Chicago and posted photos of a prototype food truck from Mobi Munch, a "scalable mobile food truck infrastructure" that functions as a self-contained kitchen, including gas heat, fresh water, and waste-water containment. Also, an optional attached restroom.

The truck on display was created with chef Ludo Lefebvre who plans to launch the "Ludo Fried Chicken" truck in Los Angeles. The company is also behind the "Chairman Bao" truck in San Francisco. In addition, Mobi Munch plans to "build an active and vibrant mobile food community" with a "portal" MobiMunch.com (hasn't launched yet) that will "be the online destination for the mobile food-obsessed."
