Anthony Bourdain on what is was like returning to the US after being trapped in Beirut when the Israel-Lebanon conflict broke out, bombings and all: "It was hard to find something to laugh about for a while... I had to find my way back to making snarky and funny travel-food TV. It just all seemed so petty. [When I got back to the U.S.] my then-girlfriend was waiting for me at the airport.
