Writer and fan of Eater Tim Carman was suspicious about all the positive Yelp reviews for an Italian restaurant in Washington DC, so he invited an anonymous but "well-known Italian chef, with more than 20 years experience in the kitchen," to join him to "assess the restaurant’s authenticity." The results: overcooked manicotti that had the "authenticity of Olive Garden." The story has an interesting angle, but what's up with that horrible photo? Is that intentional? [WCP]
