McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner in a room full of shareholders, responded today to the advocacy group Retire Ronald that wants the Ronald McDonald character withdrawn because the clown promotes unhealthy eating. "The answer is no... He is a force for good," Skinner said, referring to the clown's roles with the Ronald McDonald House Charities. "He communicates effectively with children and families around balanced, active lifestyles. He does not hawk food." What next, are they gonna go after the Fry Guys?
