KFC's Double Down Sandwich to Launch Nationally April 12

The Double Down Sandwich from KFC, the bacon-and-cheese sandwich that uses two fried chicken patties instead of bread, is going to be available nationwide starting April 12th. Amazingly, it only clocks in at 540 calories (but has 1380mg of sodium). KFC announced the news yesterday, which set off our April Fools' alert so we ignored it... but The Consumerist is reporting it today, so we'll defer to them on this one.
