Food Network Canada is currently in production on a new one-hour TV series about first-time restaurant owners. Called The Opener, in each episode restaurant consultant and chef David Adjey (bio) "swoops in and assists the restaurant owner and his/her team get ready and geared up for their big opening." They're casting in the US and Canada, looking for first-time owners that "can use some professional help with their opening."
While The Opener will air in Canada first, there are no firm dates for Food Network US but they hope to get it on the air. And they will open restaurants in the US and Canada.
