The Organic Consumers Association will be protesting in front of Chez Panisse claiming that Earth-lover Alice Waters supports using sewage sludge compost to fertilize community and school gardens. What's more, one of the executives of the restaurant's non-profit is also on the city board that— until very recently— pawned off the sludge. Waters says she's looking into the science of it all, but for now still supports the use of the stuff. [SF Gate]
