Food & Wine Founders Win JBA Lifetime Acheivement Award

While there's still two week to go until the pared-down list of James Beard Award 2010 finalists is released, the organization announced today that the recipients of this year's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award are Michael and Ariane Batterberry, the founders of Food and Wine and Food Arts magazines.

In addition to founding the food glossies, the duo have published 18 books over the years, contributed a quarterly food trend column to USA Today, and were pioneers in digital food media with the release of "computerized magazine" Dining In for Time Inc. back in the '80's.

The James Beard Awards will be held in New York at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on May 3.
