Take A Stroll Through LA's Swanky Drai, Opening Next Week

Feast your eyes upon the rooftop patio of Drai, a new restaurant/nightclub/lounge opening atop the W in Hollywood next week. The new spot is the project of Victor Drai and brothers Cy and Jessie Waits who designed similarly spacious, chic projects for Steve Wynn in Vegas. For the 120 seat restaurant, Chef Claude Segal, a Ma Maison alum from the 80s, has prepared a pretty standard American lunch menu: seared ahi-tuna salad, chinese chicken salad, steak sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, fruit plate. A more refined menu is offered for dinner with lobster and Kobe beef being big highlights. But, the real immediate draw here is the space itself, which seamlessly flows from restaurant, to lounge, to bar, to pool.
