Eater NY learns that the BLT Restaurant Group—a restaurant group that includes many BLT restaurants but no longer LT himself—has hired a new chef, Rodelio Aglibot, to spearhead a few new concepts. Apparently, the whole French-influenced-seasonal-American thing? Dunzo. Partners Jimmy Haber and Keith Treyball want to go the Asian route. Aglibot, something of a well known chef in LA and Chicago, will develop an "asian grill' and "asian gastropub" (Astropub?) for the group, and it sounds like they want to open up a few of the new spots nationwide.
The gastropub will feature rustic food "meant for sharing," and an expansive beer list. No word yet on where the new restaurants will debut, or when, but we'll let you know.
