Vegas gets yet another restaurant from a big name chef with Todd English P.U.B, now open in the Crystals at CityCenter. English's newest offers a variety of upscale menu items alongside inexpensive comfort food in a space that includes a u-shaped bar, booths, outdoor cafe-style seating and long indoor "party tables."
The focus of the dining room is the raw bar, stocked with East Coast and West Coast seafood, and the "Carvery Bar" where rotisserie chickens, prime rib, duck and lamb are hand cut by the pound and half pound for "deconstructed" sandwich platters. The menu also features affordably priced gastropub fare like bangers and mash and fish and chips, and an extensive beer program of imported ales by the bottle, cask and keg.
But, perhaps the thing that separates P.U.B from any other Todd E. restaurants is the wide variety of games and activities offered for diners and drinkers— the space features a number of magnetic dartboard, beer pong tables, and tons of plasma screen T.V.'s for game day. What's more, the bar is equipped with a seven-second hourglass, so that customers can participate in the restaurant's official drinking game: If you down a beer in seven seconds or less, its on the house! Classy, classy stuff. From the PR language, it sounds like this may be the first of a potential chain for English.
