Protestor's Picket The Hump, Restaurant Issues Apology

Eater LA has more on the ongoing saga surrounding area sushi spot The Hump and its sale of endangered sei whale. Protesters from Companion Animal Protection, the Ocean Preservation, and Sea Shepherd societies picketed outside the restaurant Friday and city officials are looking into whether The Hump can be evicted for its wrong doings.

In response to the recent drama, restaurant owners have posted a formal apology on The Hump's website that acknowledges their misconduct, and offers a bit of explanation as to why they decided to serve the endangered species in the first place.
