Howdy, folks. A bit of sad news to report this morning: Paolo Lucchesi, our Eater National hero editor, will be moving on from this perch at the end of the month. After taking a moment to wipe away our tears and congratulate him on his move—he'll let you know where he's landing before he gets out of here—it's time to move forward. And so:
There's a job opportunity here in Eaterland! We're in the market for a new National editor to work alongside Greg Morabito and our regional editors-in-chief. Signs the gig might be right for you: you're still angry about how things turned out in that one challenge three seasons ago on Top Chef; you spend more time researching where to eat before you travel than every other part of the trip combined; you comment regularly here and/or on the regional Eater sites; you are personal friends with Anthony Bourdain and plan to dine with him tonight in Queens, actually. This is a full-time gig with commensurate pay (and benefits); writers based in New York are preferred, but we'll consider anyone from anywhere. Drop an email to jobs@eater.com with a brief description about yourself, and a paragraph or two about why you're interested in the job. If you've got a blog, please include a link to it as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll be in touch quickly. Thanks. Xoxo, The Mgmt.
BONUS OPPORTUNITY: Yep, we're looking for a San Francisco-based editor, too. If that's you, give Eater SF's job posting a read and get in touch.
