Forbes magazine recently released its World's 100 Most Powerful Women list. Number one, unsurprisingly, was healthy food crusader and First Lady Michelle Obama. Talk show host and author Rachael Ray came in at #78, and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart came in at #99. Which is sort of a burn! One would assume Martha's empire is vastly larger and arguably more influential than Rachael's!
Also, two CEOs of multibillion dollar food corporations were on the list, and in the top ten as well: Kraft Foods CEO Irene Rosenfeld at #2 and PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi at #6.
