Semiscary Sandra Lee and the Food Network teamed up with eBay to auction off all 13 tablescapes from the latest season of her show Semi-Homemade. Even though all the proceeds benefit Share Our Strength, somehow the charity aspect is not sufficient justification. The eyes. They burn.
Says our sister site Curbed National: "The highest bidder of 'Cocktail Party' will score pewter-colored tabletop pieces, a tiered cake stand that adds 'a delicate touch' and a silver tea set that says 'bold but classy.'"
The auction starts October 11th, and each winner will also receive an autographed copy of Sandra's new cookbook and a KitchenAid Mixer. The KitchenAid is nice, but value-wise, an autographed copy of her memoir sells for the rock-bottom price of $1.
Even better: fans will also be able to bid on another auction (starting November 8th) for "a one-of-a-kind 'Sandra Lee Experience' including an on-set meet and greet and a potential walk-on part in one of Sandra's Food Network shows." A potential walk-on! We like the sound of that.
