Rejoice! Government-Subsidized Cabbage!

Photo: New York Times

The above photo from the New York Times is of a very happy South Korean in Seoul getting government-subsidized napa cabbages. Kimchi is a big deal in South Korea, and it's sort of a dire situation! Said the Times: "The price for one head of long-leafed Napa cabbage grown in Korea has skyrocketed in the past month, to as much as $14, from about $2.50." The photo, of course, has already been remixed to great effect.
