Observer Awards Recognize Best Restaurants, Jamie Oliver

The 2010 Observer Food Monthly Awards, in which readers vote for the best in British food, were announced today. Best Restaurant nod went to Tom Kitchin's Edinburgh restaurant The Kitchin; Best Blog was Salad Club, which is about a mobile supper club. How trendy!

Chef, father, and hero Jamie Oliver got the Food Personality prize for the second year in a row (really they should just name the award after him). And just in time! For his new restaurant Barbacoa, a meat-focused restaurant in London that features an in-house butcher, opens November 3rd.
