In an interview with Inc, Robert Sutton, a professor at Stanford and author of The No Asshole Rule and the new book Good Boss, Bad Boss, talked about different people's leadership styles, including Chez Panisse owner Alice Waters. When it comes to employee management, Waters never has to be the bad cop, letting other people do the firing for her. Said Sutton, "She always had someone else to say, 'Alice isn't happy about the way things are going. Maybe you should look for a job someplace else.' Still, everyone loved Alice, even the people she fired."
