Ode to Musso & Frank's

2009_12_musso.jpgOver the holiday, Weekend Edition visited Hollywood's historic old-timer Musso and Frank Grill, which is currently celebrating its 90-year anniversary. It's a quick, four-minute segment well worth a listen for the nostalgia lovers in the crowd, and topics include the famous martini, the confusing menu format, its repeated cameos in crime novels and Mad Men, and of course, the swath of famous 20th century figures that made it a watering hole, from the literary folks (Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Faulkner) to the legendary Hollywood film industry.
