What better way for a young couple to celebrate the most important day of their lives than in the company of legendary British crankpot, Chef Marco Pierre White? Just a few weeks after news broke that the infamous British chef would be teaching kids how to cook on a cruise ship, the Guardian learns that White is partnering with a private event complex and will be lending his services as Chef to parties willing to pay a hefty sum.
The venue, West Tower is one of three new White-branded projects announced today. The deal also includes a new pub north of London called the Swann Inn, and a new restaurant, Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse Bar & Grill, which is set to open in a Doubletree hotel near Hilton Chester.
All three projects are in co-ordination with a separate hospitality group, and White's involvement is strictly as a consultant and brand name on the new spots. In regards to West Tower, White says that he will most likely only be on site one day a month to hire and train staff, and design menus. But, for an undisclosed fee on top of the roughly $32,000 rate to rent out the facility for one day, White can be hired to cook dinner for event guests. For a pretty reclusive guy, White sure is getting around a lot these days.
