Ikea

ikea.jpgNot content with simply providing its customers with Swedish meatballs anymore, Ikea is stepping up its food game in a big way by employing a Spanish molecular gastronomy guru to create a tapas line for the furniture store's cafeterias. Last year, Chef Adam Melonas, an el Bulli vet, was tapped to create a Tapas line for the Portuguese and Spanish branches of the flat-pack stores. The program proved to be such a hit that Ikea is now planning on bringing Melonas' small plate creations to store cafeterias worldwide. [Brisbane Times]
