Trabocchi Out at Four Seasons, The Iron Maiden BBQ Joint

NEW YORK—The record-scratching news out of the Big Apple today was the sudden departure of star chef Fabio Trabocchi from his post at the Four Seasons. Trabocchi had just signed on three months ago and was on his way to some Sifton stars at the legendary NYC restaurant, but he's now a goner thanks to "philosophical differences" between the chef and the restaurant. SOUTH FLORIDA—In the "Unlikely Restaurateur" category: Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain started a new restaurant in Boca Raton called Rock N Roll Ribs . And the atmosphere is very key to him: "The ambience of a restaurant is very important. You won't hear Barry Manilow in here; you won't hear Rod Stewart, Kiss or Guns N Roses, sorry boys and girls. All you will here is classical, beautiful metal.'" [Miami Herald]

HAWAIIOh dear: "Another Kailua restaurant, Blue Water Shrimp & Seafood Company, recently added 'Obama’s Chili' to their menu. The restaurant claims the dish is the president’s original recipe, a combination of kidney beans, ground beef and bell peppers. Like the 'Snowbama,' 'Obama’s Chili' became a popular order during the holidays." [BSB]
