Above, the lovely lady with the exposed brick you see is New York City's one-day old Choptank. The latest seafood eatery to hit the Big Apple is helmed by Chef Matthew Schaefer (formerly of the Mermaid Inn and Le Bernardin) and comes with a twist: it comes with a Chesapeake Bay tilt. In keeping with the economic times, Schaefer is putting an under-$25 menu of fish, crab cakes, chowders, peel and eat shrimp, and steamed clams with a fried chicken, steak, and cheeseburger thrown in for good measure.
