Gail Simmons to Host First Season of Top Chef: Just Desserts

The latest spinoff of Top Chef—Just Desserts, starring pastry chefs—was announced back in October, but today, Bravo shares a few more details. First and foremost, Top Chef: Just Desserts will be hosted by none other than longtime Top Chef judge, the lovely and popular Gail Simmons. Perhaps the Just Desserts gig will serve as a test run for a possible hostess gig on the real Top Chef when/if Padma goes on a pregnancy leave? Elsewhere in the Bravoverse, the second season of Top Chef Masters will premiere on April 7. Mark those calenders.
