The pretty lady you see here is the newly-revamped Arizona outpost of New York restaurateur John McDonald's MercBar concept, which—fun fact alert—recently celebrated its 13th anniversary in the desert. McDonald (also of Lure, ex-Lever House) had the space's original designer, Fernando Santangelo give the 13-year-old bar a facelift, consisting mostly of new upholstery, new furniture, and a handful of vintage fixtures. Take a looksie around in the gallery above, and if you're up for it, compare/contrast the Phoenix version to the SoHo one.
