Looking ahead to the restaurant industry in 2010, the only "good" news is that the bad news won't be as bad: "The foodservice consulting firm Technomic has projected that U.S. restaurants and bars will finish 2009 at just over $328 billion in sales, which would be a 3.5 percent drop ... The firm estimates that sales will decline by another 0.8 percent in 2010." Small victories? [PE]
