Voltaggio Bros Launch Web-Based Video Series

Top Chef Season 6 winner and runner up Michael and Bryan Voltaggio announce via their blog that they are starting a weekly video series that will focus on their "favorite ingredients, techniques, and gadgets."

Could this be the project that Michael hinted at earlier this month? Since the show's finale the brothers have hit the media circuit pretty hard, almost as if they are establishing themselves as their own brand, something that Michael expressed an interest in, in an interview immediately following his win. Who knows whether the video series will feature sponsorship, or serious product placement, but no matter what, it seems like the Voltaggios are trying to strike while the iron is hot.

Says Bryan of the new series:

Top Chef was a fantastic opportunity to get ourselves recognized as chefs, but it is not a perfect venue to show off what we love about cooking. Being forced to cook something in 20 minutes with bizarre ingredients is fun, but not what we normally do in our restaurants. These videos will give you a better sense about our culinary point of view and passion for cooking.

The video series is in partnership with Eqal entertainment, the same media company that produced Paula Deen's Get Cookin' series. Apparently, the videos have already beeen shot, and the first video in the series will run on their site the first week in January. For now, we just have the teaser trailer:
