Once upon a time, Perello made her name at upscale destinations like Aqua, Charles Nob Hill and Fifth Floor, and warranted national attention as a Food & Wine Best New Chef and James Beard nominee. However, in sticking with a sense of time and place, Frances is more of a sophisticated neighborhood spot than a fine dining one.
