Epicurious: Curtis Stone and Barcelona Are So Last Year

Everyone knows December means listicle time, and chief among the year-end lists are the prediction pieces. Yesterday, Restaurants & Institutions shared theirs and today, Epicurious takes a stab at predicting the food trends and un-trends of 2010.

The list includes many of the usual hot items (fried chicken, butchers, lamb = all still hot), but it also has a few interesting categories, namely the new Sex Symbol: White House chef Sam Kass is IN, while Curtis Stone (pictured) has been relegated to the back burner. Also, Epicurious isn't too big on Barcelona: "As the leading edge of first the tapas movement and then molecular gastronomy, this city has jumped the shark ... many of the restaurants are overpriced and underwhelming. There, we said it."
