Hey, Who Wants to be a High-Profile Critic in the Bay Area?

The big news in the Bay Area this week is the sudden departure of Meredith Brody from her established post as the restaurant critic for SF Weekly. It was not her decision to leave, but all that drama aside, the news is of national import because Village Voice Media has hereby launched a nationwide search for a new restaurant critic. Given that fellow West Coasters Jonathan Gold (LA) and Jonathan Kauffman (Seattle) are two of the more decorated restaurant critics in all the land, the SF outpost of VVM is probably hoping to make a big splash.
