Food Network West, Chairman Booted, More UK Outbreaks

NAPA—Word on the street is that Copia—the ill-fated, shuttered food and wine center originally conceived by Julia Child and Robert Mondavi—is being scoped out by Food Network as a possible West Coast studio. Copia has been seeking buyers for the last month or so. [EaterWire]

TELEVISION—Speaking of Food Network stuffs, thanks to a "misguided samba" the other night, Mark Dacascos—better known as The Chairman on Iron Chef America—was booted from Dancing With the Stars last night. The saving grace is that he called the show "one of the greatest experiences of [his] life." [AP]

EUROPE—In the wake of the Fat Duck outbreak earlier this year, another Michelin-starred UK restaurant has been shuttered due to a similar norovirus outbreak. The Star Inn has shut its doors out of precaution after 80 diners fell ill. What's going on over there, Britain? Everything ok? [Chef Sandwich]
