Little did you know that Dave Martin of Top Chef's inaugural season has written a cookbook. It's called Flavor Quest, Volume One, and—fun fact—he wrote it in just over a week!

"I did it in eight days. I didn't sleep a lot ... I have several hundred recipes which are already tested." It's a really comprehensive book, he added.
Martin goes on to the describe the book's recipes as "kind of updated comfort classics," but if the book itself is anything like the super-amateur cover design (complete with Top Chef logo, natch), it could be something to truly behold. Check out that unreal Comic Sans subtitle:
"Learn the tricks to Super Soups, Tasty Salads & Dressings, Tempting Starters & Salads, The Best Mac 'n' Cheese's, Family-Style Meals, A Bountiful Brunch and some Sweets to Boot."
Eight long days of work, folks.
