Sushi Bar Owner Charged With Shooting Man in His Eatery

New, 3 comments

To add to the weirdness of last week's string of odd crimes by restaurateurs, the owner of a downtown Denver sushi bar has been formally charged with murder after a fatal shooting within his Chopsticks & Sushi restaurant. Yan "Dave" Yang, age 40, claims he was acting in self-defense while being choked by a Mr. Running Bear, but witnesses say that there was a confrontation in the sushi bar over money that was owed (there's a full rundown of the sad events at the Denver Post). In any event, Yang is currently being held without bond in Denver County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
