Not to Be Left Out, TLC Adds a Culinary Show Too

With just about every other network picking up food and chef shows lately, TLC is hopping on the bandwagon too, and per Hollywood Reporter, they snagged lovable Chicago chef Art Smith, last seen tearing up and winning hearts on Top Chef Masters:

[Smith] will host "Craving Comfort," where he'll travel the country exploring variations of simple, popular dishes -- from fried chicken to apple pie. “'Craving Comfort' celebrates the great personal stories behind America’s classic comfort foods," said Nancy Daniels, senior vp production at TLC.
In other words, it's like No Reservations, but for American comfort food and with the cuddly Art Smith. Due in late 2010, the over/under on per-episode references to Obama and Oprah is currently set at 10.
